IT Generalist

This Security-focused IT Generalist will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and improvement of the network infrastructure. The IT Generalist will be responsible for ensuring the protection of the network. Our company offers excellent benefits, and a diverse team.

To be considered for this position, you MUST meet the following requirements:

5+ Years experience as a security IT Generalist

  • Extensive knowledge in Cisco Hardware with certification
  • Familiarity with Linux infrastructure
  • Extensive, advanced firewall experience
  • Experience with VPN management of several users
  • Knowledgeable with mail clients and servers
  • Familiar with security protocols
  • Background in prevention of networking penetration

In addition to the above, the following will put you at the head of the line:

  • Cisco Certifications (Security)
  • Experience with HIPAA compliance
  • Open BSD familiarity

Senior Developer

The position would involve equal parts interface design and build on a typical web stack, automated process design and build, and reverse engineering of various data formats, from highly normalized modern SQL implementations to legacy database engines and proprietary image formats, often at the binary level.

Desired skill sets include javascript, SQL (various flavors), perl, understanding of binary data storage formats, familiarity with Windows, *nix, networking, and most importantly creative problem solving. Web Developer

Special Projects Tech

This person will be responsible for taking defect reports from a customer, reproducing the reported issue, and attempting documented fixes for the problem. If that fails, the candidate will pass the defect onto the next level of support. This person will also install software, monitor automated tasks, and other tasks to assist the programming staff.

An ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Experience working with Computers and multiple Operating Systems – Windows and Unix/Linux referred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks

Junior Developer

We are looking for a junior developer who has good analytical skills, good knowledge of data structures, can work as part of a development team and who can interact with other areas of the organization as needed. The ideal candidate should have a few years of hands-on experience writing code and should be a good communicator. We are willing to train the right candidate who is a good developer regardless of the language/technology previously used.

This person would be a hard worker who can learn quickly, trained in our various developing tools and assimilate into the team. We work with structured and unstructured data in a highly regulated industry. This new hire will be working on continually evolving applications that produce better and cleaner data.

Responsibilities include:

  • Learn the process and apply it producing efficient code and clean data.
  • Modify existing code and find and fix issues as needed.
  • Write new programs and code as needed.
  • Works with various types of data and decode correctly.
  • Finish projects in a timely manner as dictated by the business needs.
  • Learn and apply new technologies as needed.
  • Find bugs in the existing code and suggest and implement improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, software engineering or another related field and 0 – 2 years of professional programming experience.
  • Knowledge of data structures
  • Knowledge/experience in one or more languages like C, Perl, C++ or any other programming languages and technologies. We will train you in the technology we use if you are a good developer.
  • Experience working with Unix / Linux preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL and other relational and non-relational databases.
  • Knowledge writing efficient queries.
